Chef Claudio Favero
Chef Claudio Favero has been at the helm of the kitchen at Don Alfonso 1890 as Chef de Cuisine since April 2014. He has been responsible for overseeing the daily food preparations and kitchen operations at the fine-dining Southern Italian restaurant located at the Grand Lisboa Hotel, Macau. In his role as Chef de Cuisine, Claudio works very closely with the renowned Michelin-starred Master Chef Mr. Alfonso Iaccarino, owner of the fourth generation family-run Don Alfonso Consulting. Together, they work on crafting new dishes and curating the menu at Don Alfonso 1890.
In 2000, Claudio took his first step into the culinary world and has never looked back. With experience working at top fine-dining restaurants in Italy and Spain, Claudio brings with him 10 years of international culinary experience. A native Italian, Claudio had his first encounter with Chef Alfonso Iaccarino in 2003 when he worked as Chef de Partie at the two-Michelin starred Don Alfonso 1890 in Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, Italy.
Returning to his original roots, Claudio rejoined Don Alfonso Consulting in early 2009 where he worked under the direct supervision of Chef Alfonso Iaccarino for two years.
After two action packed years at Don Alfonso 1890, Claudio moved to Spain in late 2015 to work for four years as Sous Chef at the three-Michelin starred restaurant El Raco de Can Fabes.
