Previously Helmed by the Highest Michelin-Starred Chef in Southern Italy, Casa Don Alfonso brings much anticipated Italian way of dining experience to the City
[Macau, For Immediately Release] A cozy and family-friendly restaurant nestled within Grand Lisboa Hotel, Casa Don Alfonso is the missing piece that Macau has been searching for. This establishment is one that serves authentic Italian cuisine led by food traditions with origins from thousands of years ago in the Sorrento Peninsula and Amalfi Coast. Boldly carrying the Don Alfonso family name, the restaurant proudly upholds a standard of hospitality that has been handed down from one generation to the next.
Freshly Baked Pizzas By Pizzaiolo Maurizio Ferrini
Using only premium quality Italian ingredients, Casa Don Alfonso’s Pizzaiolo, Maurizio Ferrini is famed for crafting Macau’s finest and most authentic Neapolitano slices. With over ten years of experience preparing pizzas at Naples, Maurizio masterfully cooks each pizza in a stone oven for less than one minute at 1,000 degrees. Using a tradition that was used by craftsmen before him, Maurizio uses the electric Izzo Scugnizzo oven to prepare each pizza. Before being served to guests, each pizza is critically scrutinized by Chef Maurizio to ensure the perfect quality.
On the menu are a host of delicious Italian dishes that will satisfy each guests’s craving. Kick-start your meal with one of Casa Don Alfonso’s appetizer like the Selection of Traditional Antipasti ($180) or the Pan-Fried Scallops with Cardoncelli Mushrooms ($150).
Fancy a slice? The team at Casa Don Alfonso recommends the Calzoni with salami, black pepper and cheese ($160) or the White Pizza With Parma Ham And Arugula ($160), among other mouthwatering choices. Hand-crafted by the restaurant’s Pizzaiolo, each slice is a treat with toppings like the hand-crushed San Marzano Tomatoes, fresh Fior di Latte, Mozzarella Di Buffala, artisanal soppressata and premium Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil.
For a taste of the restaurant’s signature pasta and risotto dishes, the Seafood Risotto ($200) and the Cannelloni Stuffed with Pork and Beef Served with Neapolitan Ragout ($180) are marvelous choices.
For main course, sample more delectable creations by the culinary team. The Fillet of Seabass with Grilled Zucchini and Capers Sauce ($280) and the Veal Ossobuco with Saffron Risotto ($280) are must-order items that will leave guests wanting more.
End your meal at Casa Don Alfonso on a sweet note with one or more of the restaurant’s exquisite desserts. The Deep-Fried Banana and Chocolate Bigne’ With Vanilla Ice-Cream ($80) and the Neapolitan Puff Pastry Stuffed with Cinnamon Cream and Sour Cherry ($80) cannot be missed.
The Wine List
Casa Don Alfonso’s wine collection exceeds 16,800 world-class labels from the world’s major wine regions. Discerning gourmands will find the wines pair perfectly well with the authentic Italian cuisine. Similarly to other restaurants at Grand Lisboa Macau, the restaurant is adamant in offering wines at an affordable rate, at only slightly above the cost price for discerning wine-lovers to truly indulge and relish their experience at Casa Don Alfonso.
