The 8 mooncake gift boxes and deluxe hampers are perfect for family and friends

[Macau, For Immediate Release] – In celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival and the first edition of Art Macao, Grand Lisboa Hotel is pleased to present artfully designed mooncake gift boxes for you to share with friends and family this year. Dim Sum Head Chef Yau Wah Fai of The 8, our Michelin three-star Chinese restaurant, is pleased to introduce a new healthy, home-made mooncake variety this year – The 8 Mooncake with Assorted Nuts.

Drawing inspiration from the beautiful works of art on display at Grand Lisboa Hotel, the gift box for The 8 Mooncake with Assorted Nuts was designed after the paintings of “Hibiscuses” by Wu Guanzhong and “Coin du Jardin” by Paul Gauguin. These two classic Chinese and Western paintings are among the leading art pieces being showcased at the “ART.Appreciation.Legacy” exhibit at Grand Lisboa for the inaugural Art Macao event this year. Chinese artist Wu Guanzhong is renowned for blending Eastern and Western artistic techniques in his works, and this year, we commemorate his centennial by incorporating his art into the gift box design. French artist Paul Gauguin is touted as having been one of the most important Post-Impressionists whose works influenced the likes of Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. He was also among the first to uphold wood engravings and woodcuts as art forms. The design of our mooncake gift box is a beautiful blend of the two classical Chinese and Western art forms, and bridges the cultures of East and West.

Those who love the classic The 8 Double Egg Yolk and Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes or The 8 Lava Custard Mini Mooncakes will be pleased to know that they will be on offer once again this year at The 8. The Double Egg Yolk and Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes are made from the traditional recipe of white lotus seed paste and rich double egg yolk, while the Lava Custard Mini Mooncakes are made with an irresistibly creamy lava custard filling.

Gift vouchers are available now, and the mooncakes will be ready for collection between 30 August and 13 September, 2019 at The Hamper House or Round-The-Clock Coffee Shop. The four-piece Mooncakes with Assorted Nuts and the four-piece Double Egg Yolk and Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes are both priced at MOP 498 per box.
